Myself and 2 friends, JD + Syfret headed out to The Canyon with Outrageous Fishing Charters for some yellowfin tuna fishing.

We launched at Simon’s Town harbour (not Miller’s point – as mentioned in the video) at around 06:15. The conditions were fantastic in False Bay but as we headed offshore the swells picked up intensely and the water became extremely choppy.

The day started off slow, with our first tight line only happening just before 11:00. We were fortunate enough to each land a yellowfin, each around the 25kg mark. We all learnt a lot from the experience and will definitely be out tuna hunting again soon!
